2025 NGLA Annual Conference Call for Student Staff

The NGLA Annual Conference is run with the support of student volunteers, also known as Student Staff. Student Staff, both undergraduate and graduate, are an important part of the success of the NGLA Annual Conference. This volunteer role is a great opportunity to learn about conference management, meet fellow fraternity & sorority members, and network with higher education and fraternal professionals.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in pre-conference training.
  • Attend Conference Committee meetings as able.
  • Assist with audio/visual needs for on-site educational programming.
  • Assist with all aspects of on-site programming, including but not limited to monitoring event attendance, supporting the Silent Auction, and helping execute evening programming.
  • Participate in evening on-call rotation.
  • Provide excellent customer service for conference participants, attendees, and exhibitors.
  • Participate in the NGLA Mentoring Program with members of the Conference Committee before, during, and after the conference.
  • Provide support to other areas of the conference team as needed.
  • Uphold NGLA policies and procedures, including the NGLA Code of Conduct.

Lodging, food, and conference registration will be provided by NGLA. Training in January and February is remote and therefore requires access to a stable internet connection and telephone. Expenses related to travel and remote work are not reimbursed.

This application {PLUS} two references are due by Monday, November 4 @ 11:59pm ET. Zoom interviews will be conducted November 13 – 15. Decisions will be sent by November 20 with response requested by November 27.

Volunteers are expected to uphold NGLA policies and procedures, including the NGLA Code of Conduct.
